In the spotlight of Pitti Uomo 109 in Florence, Italy, a profound dialogue between craftsmanship and time quietly unfolds. On January 13, 2026, the Consinee Group made a remarkable debut with its groundbreaking art project, "Echoes of Craft"—this time, not as a commercial showcase, but as a deep embrace between fiber and art.
Sustainability defines the enduring future of artistry.
The commitment to sustainable creation in "Echoes of Craft" reflects Consinee’s deep-rooted dedication, honed over years of industry leadership. For Consinee, the beauty of craftsmanship lies not in ephemeral brilliance but in long-term sustainability. The Group has consistently integrated verifiable, sustainable practices throughout its production chain—starting from the purest fibers, awakening the vitality of craft through the warmth of human touch, reinventing tradition through innovation, and transforming yarn into a universal language that transcends geography and time. As the echoes of craftsmanship resonate in Florence, Consinee not only showcases the excellence of Chinese high-end yarn and aesthetic artistry to the global fashion scene but also reinterprets traditional craftsmanship within the contemporary fashion narrative.
When fashion catalysts meet artisans of poetry.
Behind Consinee’s showcase at Pitti Uomo lies the support of top creative talents. The project is steered by Sara Sozzani Maino, Creative Director of Fondazione Sozzani, and celebrated designer Galib Gassanoff. Together, these influential figures bridging fashion and craft have infused "Echoes of Craft" with intercultural vision and emotionally resonant creativity, endowing yarn with a unique identity—both globally conversant and deeply rooted in tradition.
Every fiber harbors dedication and poetry.
Fifteen exclusive creations emerged from the interplay of dual inspirations: on one hand, timeless classics drawn from the designers’ personal wardrobe archives; on the other, the traditional essence of shepherd coats from the Central Asian steppes. Journeying across borders—from the windswept plateaus of Mongolia to the dawn-lit Caspian shores, from the Caucasian ranges to the Balkan highlands. We crossed boundaries and make the craftsmanship genes of Eurasian continent to reunite and resonate here.
Each piece is meticulously handmade using precious materials such as cashmere and wool, celebrating the innate hues of fiber with minimal adornment that bridges heritage and innovation—simple yet striking. A cashmere gauze layered over felted outerwear replicates the subtle interplay of light and shadow in Renaissance sculpture; a fine wool-blend handmade coat embodies masterful artistry; two oversized knitwear pieces distinguish themselves through cloud-like softness or dynamic fringes, uniting aesthetics and function; three shepherd cloaks, acclaimed as the “soul of the exhibition,” articulate a cross-cultural narrative of craftsmanship through contrasting textures that juxtapose rugged naturalness with refined delicacy; two monumental 2.5-meter tapestries astonish—one evoking a galaxy of fringes, the other redefining wall art, dissolving boundaries between clothing and devices; a wash-felted cashmere kimono-style coat embodies resilience within softness. Consinee creatively unleashes the full potential of fibers on the stage of PITTI UOMO.
